Yay for me!

Wooo hooo, or Woot as Jay just loves!!! I made an "A" on my first grad school paper! How nerdy am I? I felt like I was in elementary school again and couldn't wait to run home and tell my parents the good news! However, I patiently waited until the morning and then called to tell them the good news! I guess you never grow too old to hear I am proud of you by your parents! Jay was pretty happy for me too and Lindsey just looked up at me like so what I can say yellow! Got to love her! I am truly loving school! Talk to me in a year or so, maybe my attitude will change! I am not sure how to fit grad school in my future plans but it is gonna have to fit somewhere. Jay and I are seriously thinking about additions to the family and I do not think they can wait until 2013 to come. So, my dreams may have to take a back seat for awhile but who knows, God is so in control!

In Lindsey news, she is speaking in sentences. They are broken but o so beautiful. Right now everything is mine! Her aunt Clair got Lindsey a lady bug night light that projects stars and a moon on the ceiling. At night, or well any dark room, she carries that ladybug and screams MY MOON when she discovers it! When the light is off she pathetically whines wheres my moon momma, my moon! She has big dreams to own the moon! That ladybug is one of the best things ever! Thank you aunt Clair!

Lindsey will be 2 in a month and a half. Plans are under way for her 2nd b-day party! I told myself that this year would be more simple but who am i kidding it will be even more insane. So much so that I have requested my mom to come early and am going to beg my mother in law this next weekend to come early to help cook! My whole life changed the day Lindsey came into this world! I never knew I could be so scared and in love with this little piece of heaven! She came out without a sound and made sure for the 1st 3 months I was aware that was just a fluke! We must celebrate!

Sacrifice

I never understood the sacrifices my parents made until I became a parent! Right now I am feeling the sacrifices!!! On Thursdays, Lindsey goes to daycare so I can do school work all day and then we can have all of Friday together plus the weekend. This week I have not been able to spend a lot of time with her due to working nights and over sleeping. This morning when I got her up to go to school she just cried daddy daddy daddy, O how my heart broke! I want nothing more than to be with her and play with her instead of sleeping because I choose to work the night shift. I am doing this to help our family and it is only for 9 more weeks but it hurts! When I dropped her off at school she just clung to my leg. I had to sneak out while the teacher distracted her! She looks up at me with those big brown eyes and my heart breaks! I pray one day she understands that the sacrifices her dad and I make are ultimately for her, that every decision we make is with her best interest in mind! I am so thankful for all the things my parents sacrificed for me! I now wish I told them sooner!

Playgrounds and Brats!

I took Lindsey to the park yesterday. Lindsey thinks she is 10 year old. She gets up on the biggest slide and heads down, no worries. I normally get on the equipment with her and hover over her like a helicopter but this trip I decided to lay back and hover from afar, well kinda. When we got to the park we were basically the only people there so Lindsey had the whole place to herself. School soon let out and the kids showed up. Moms sat at the benches and let their (older) kids go. The kids were in their own world and Lindsey did not fit. She was too slow and too little for them to be bothered with. Lindsey just wanted to slide. I had 1 too many conversations with the kids about sharing as the moms sat and read their books and never once saw their kids. I had to bargain with on kid to let Lindsey slide. I told the little girl that they could slide 4 times before Lindsey even got up there. All the frustration I felt for my little girl, I don't think she even noticed. If the kids wouldn't let her slide she just went to another one and squealed with glee, clapped her hands, and signed more! We went down more slides than I can count. She finally got tired of the slides and went to swing. I would try to push her and she would point at the swing next to her and yell SIT! So I had to sit in the swing by her and swing with her! She is so big! What I do not understand is these parents who let their kids go. I don't even care that the kids don't share but those moms were missing out on so much fun. I love getting on the equipment with her and see every smile and clap! Those moments are too precious to miss out on for a book!

That trip to the park really hit home with me. I have no problem chillin' with pootie at the park but at home is another story. There is always laundry to be done, something to be cleaned, or homework to be tended to. All of those will be there after she goes to bed. The moments I miss because I think my house is not perfect will be missed!

hmmm. . . .

I have been pondering my blog for a while. I read other blogs and am so inspired, then I sit down to write and well there is nothing inspiring there! Frustrating! I want to blog so I can show Lindsey my thoughts as she was growing up.

Speaking of growing up, Lindsey is huge! She is 21 months and full of attitude. She never stops moving! Well, except for her favorite Canadian cartoon, Miss B. G. This sweet little girl never cared for t.v. until we cut off cable and now she can not get enough of Qubo. Qubo, is a cartoon channel that we get over the antenna and all the cartoons are Canadian made. 30 minuets each night she will sit sort of still and watch in amazement! I love it!

Recently, Lifechurch.tv did a series on margin. So now we are on a journey to create margin. Time we are good on, money not so much. So we have now cut off cable, eating out, shopping, groceries, ect. If it can be cut we do it! The one thing we have not cut out is tithing! No matter how tight the week we tithe no matter what! God has truly blessed us. The money goes farther, saying no is easier, we don't fight! Jay and I want so badly to not owe anyone but GOD. I hope as we go through this journey I can share the ups and downs on here!

Well, I guess I made up my mind! I am going to continue this blog at least so I have an outlet for all that life throws my family!

Best Sunday in Awhile!

OMG, I posted what twice in a week! Look out blogger world Megan is on a roll!

I wish I had pictures of our awesome day, but hey, I am the mom who took her 15 month old to get her 1st birthday/baby dedication pics is August. O well! If you would like to see her pics send me a message and I will shoot you the link. I don't want any random internet perv looking at my kid!

Now the good stuff! Sunday, was the best day we have had as a family in I don't know how long! To start it off Lindsey slept in till 9! She woke up so happy. Jay was so sweet and let me get ready for church in peace and quiet while he fed and dressed her! I just think I looked so bad Saturday he would have done anything for me to not look that bad ever again! We changed our Saturday morning Panera to Sunday and had an awesome breakfast. For once they were not out of everything and since we went during "church" time there was NO ONE there! Next, we had an hour to kill before church so we ran to Target and bought Lindsey the cutest shoes EVER! Again, no one was at Target! Se refreshing to be the only ones in the store! Side Note: wanna enjoy yourself while shopping and eating go while people are at church! Maybe it will only work in the Bible Belt! Church was next on our agenda! I knew it would be good when we dropped Lindsey off at her class and she was all smiles and no tears! Boy was it good. Christine Caine preached and God answered some major questions I have been struggeling with! We watched our worship pastor baptise his wife! I could not stop crying as I watched all the lives that were being changed! God is good! Well, after nap time we went to the Lake and rode. Jay made it around twice and I pulled Lindsey for the 1st time and rode 14 miles! (better than Jay has done pulling Lindsey!) While Jay was finishing up his ride Lindsey and I explored all that is Lake Hefner. She was in heaven running through the grass and meeting new people. She would stop and stare at everyone. After she would stare at them for a few mins. she would dance her sumo dance and wave and smile. At one point she started yelling DOG and began to run after it! Thank God she has short chubby legs! They can't go as fast as she wants. Well when her daddy made it back we headed over to POPS in Arcadia. Lindsey deserved a treat for being in the trailer for 1.5 hours. We bought her, her 1st coke. Rootbeer was on the menu. She was not too keen on the taste but loved the foam that would come out of her cup. She shook and shook that cup just for the foam! She ran around the grounds and waved and yelled bye bye to all the bikers as they came and went! The ride home we listened to Lindsey talk to her shoe! Her voice is so sweet! I love it when she just jabbers about the world! We put her down to bed around 8 at 10 she was crying so I got her and layed her in bed with us! BIG mistake! To her the day was not done she wanted to play some more! We had to be mean and put her back to bed and let her cry it out! The day was so great! I can not wait till next weekend when we can do it all again!

Yeah Yeah Yeah

Ok, lets get this over with! I know it has been forever! This post is all text and no pics!

I am a horrible mom! I have just now scheduled Lindsey's 12 month pics for tomorrow and she is 15.5 months! 3.5 months . . . not a lot has changed. . . right???? Well actually it has! My baby is so big and I hate it! I can no longer lay her down and she be in the same place I left her. I now turn my head for a second and she is in another room detroying something! Long gone are the days of formula for a meal! I now prepare 3 meals and a few dozen snacks a day for Pottie! She is such a good eater. We were at the Dr. and I was complaining that Lindsey's full button was BROKE. He laughed and said he never hears that one. Moms are always worried about their toddler missing a meal. Let me tell you she has NEVER missed a meal! She will push the high chair to me to let me know it is time to eat. She is a very determined baby!!!!! We now, at the age of 15 months, have 1 tooth and another poking through! We are a little redneck!

Hopefully we will have pictures to show to the world soon! Love mycrazy baby!
