To all those that have family in the same town go now and say thank you and tell them how much you love them!!! Today I am missing my family so much! God has placed amazing people in my life right now but they are not my mom and dad or aunts or grandparents or sister! Jay is traveling now and some days are just plain hard! The days are easy but the nights are hard! I wish I could just load up Lindsey and go lay on my momma's couch or head over to my Nanny's knowing dinner is cooked! I am just home sick and I miss my mom. Some just do not realize what a luxury it is to have family to babysit or come take care of you when you are sick! Thank you for reading I am just homesick!!!!

Best Get Away!
So, quick update: Jay got a new job, Lindsey is out of school for 2 weeks, I am fixin' to start school again, and I seem to be adding more to my plate than when I worked full-time. All that called for a quick getaway! We were planning on going to Branson but those plans fell through so we decided to go stay with Dave and Lisa for the weekend and do all the things that we never get to do!
I am the worst mom ever but we went to the Wild Life Safari in Gentry, AR and I took no pictures! After some ATM drama we had a blast. The weather was gorgeous, no 105 heat!!!! Lindsey was able to pet the goats, kangaroos, a pot belly pig, and some chickens! We drove through the rest and saw some crazy emus, zebras, camels, buffalo, cows, and so much that I was not to sure what it was!
That night we went to the Naturals baseball game! Again the weather was awesome and Lindsey did better than Lisa and I did! We maybe got Lindsey to tell Dave and Jay that she wanted to go home! It was sooo late and she was sooo tired or maybe we were haha!

Lisa and I finally have a picture together where we both looked like we have clothes on! haha I think it is frame worthy!

Lindsey loves Dave and Lisa! I think Dave needs his own little girl! He is so great!
On Sat we went to Pea Ridge Civil War battle field. The weather was not as great as Friday. The tour was a driving tour! The guys just ate it up! They wanted to discover every little detail! Lisa and I liked it for the most part but it was hot and we were hungry! Luckily my sister took Lindsey for the day so we were sans baby! Jay and Dave were so cute, they were like bff's! haha
They discussed everything! The tour was supposed to be 30 mins and they took and hour and a half!!!
This is what Lisa and I did the last hour! Can you say AC?!!!!
That night we went swimming with Lisa's sweet church then headed home early on Sun to get back to church! For such a quick trip we left so refreshed. We came home with our batteries recharged and so thankful for friends that are so loving and encouraging!

Bitter Sweet!
Last weekend my sweet family from Arkansas came to OKC with their RV and camped in my front yard to celebrate Pootie turning 2! I had been preparing for this weekend for 2 months! Friday of her party Jay and I were informed of some horrible news. We decided to go on and have her party but not to inform our family. Having our family around was so amazing but throughout the entire weekend my mind was elsewhere. I am so sad that the poor choice one person made affected my mood for the entire weekend. My mind may have been distracted but my family was not. They made a potentially horrible weekend the best for Lindsey. Below are a few pictures from the weekend. They are in no particular order because well blog spot hates me!
Jay and I got Lindsey a swing for her birthday. We may not have picked it up until an hour before the family arrived. We may not have hoped that Uncle Steve and Randy and Pops would put it together! They did a great job! Lindsey and Hope loved it! They played so good together! I can not wait to go to AR so the two can play together again soon!
We bought Pootie a bubble machine as well as 2 other people! We have them all set up in the back yard. If you drive by you may very well see bubbles surrounding our house! She loves them! Hope and Lindsey chased those bubbles all over the yard!
These bleepity bleep bleep bleep Elmo cupcakes! This is why I have been planning this party for 2 months. Lindsey all of a sudden fell in love with Elmo so of course I had to have an Elmo cake! Last year we spent way too much on a cake from a local bakery so I was determined this year to make her cake. I could have bought another cake for the amount of money I spent testing out cupcakes and frosting! By the way making red icing is impossible! I died coconut instead, much easier! They turned out too cute and they were yummy as well. I made coconut creme filled cupcakes mmmmm! My table was pretty cool too!
Here is the first part to the table decorations! Get it. . . Sesame Street!!!
Lindsey had a great party! My sweet family from AR and our sweet friends form OK made it so special for Lindsey and us! We are truly blessed and humbled by all the love that was poured upon us! Next year I am not sure what we are doing but I am not making a cake with RED icing that is for sure! Thank you to all who came! You all made what could have been a miserable weekend so much fun and a good distraction! Love you all!
